Ms. Hong has over ten years of experience in low-carbon development and sustainable energy. Ms. Hong joined the iGDP team in February 2021. She is research lead on energy policies in the industrial sector, energy efficiency standards and labels for appliances, cooling efficiency improvement and refrigerant replacement, as well as other fields.

The projects she has worked on include Opportunities and Challenges for China’s Coal Mine Methane Emission Reduction, as well as Opportunities and Challenges for Reducing Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gas Emissions in China’s Food Cold Chain Industry and Quantification of CBAM’s Impact on China’s Steel Sector and Its Decarbonization Effort

Ms. Hong holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, awarded 2007.
