Xi Xi

Xi Xi is an Analyst at innovative Green Development Program focusing on energy transition and decarbonization domestically and internationally. She leads work related to the Energy Policy Simulator (EPS). EPS is an energy system model that informs policymakers on decarbonization pathways at national and provincial levels, evaluating and optimizing impactful policy packages for cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Xi Xi conducts research on the power market and related investment in Belt and Road Initiative countries, primarily in Africa. She has also worked on other methane related projects, including waste and wastewater management and other policy analyses.

Previously, Xi Xi worked as a consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Abt Associates, where she spent most of her time on climate change-related programs such as the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program. She led the team’s work in data and policy analysis, as well as implementing machine learning techniques in the context of policy and research. She also worked as an Investment Analyst at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, evaluating cleantech startups for investment and grant opportunities. She received a bachelor’s degree with Latin Honor from Wellesley College, where she majored in Mathematics and minored in Environmental Studies.
