Deputy Executive Director for Research and Programs, Senior Program Director for Energy Transition, Senior Analyst
Yang Li has over 20 years of experience in education and project research, focusing on green and low-carbon transitions, energy and environmental policy analysis. She joined the iGDP team in May 2015 and currently lead the research team. Her research focuses on energy systems analysis, low carbon development planning and evaluation, energy environment and climate change policy evaluation, etc.
She has lead or participated in projects, such as Regional Cases Analysis and Capacity Building for Industrial Heat Decarbonization in China,Green and Low carbon transition in China’s Sub-National Regions using LOGIC Index, the Vision 2050 Program – Raising Climate Ambition in China’s Sub-National Regions using Energy Policy Simulator, Green Finance Roadmap for Supporting Hainan Province’s Carbon Peaking and Mid- and Long-term Carbon Emission Reduction, the Shanxi’s Macro-Financial Risk Assessment of Climate Change and its Roadmap to a Clean Energy Future, the Chongqing Carbon Neutral Pathway and the Green Finance Roadmap, the Capacity Building on River and Ocean Eco-Environmental Management and Plastic Waste Pollution Control , and the Northeast Asia Low Carbon Cities Peer Review and Comparison.
She holds a Ph.D.in Population, Resource and Environmental Economics from Renmin University of China(2014)
