Chen Simin has five years of experience in climate communication and eight years of experience in community development.
Ms. Chen joined iGDP in July 2019, where she is responsible for projects including the zero-waste village project called “Zero-Waste Baihe Bay”. Her work also focuses on issues such as plastic pollution reduction, green cooling, and low-carbon consumption.
Ms. Chen has designed and implemented several communication initiatives, including the “Plastic-Free Future” public education campaign and a public outreach program on green cooling. She also led the development of the Community Guide for Promoting Low-Carbon Consumption among Residents, aimed at empowering local governments.
Previously, she was involved in the “Three-Year Action Plan for the Huitian Area” in Beijing, managing community governance project funding. She also led several projects focused on supporting vulnerable communities.
She graduated from Guangzhou University with a degree in Social Work, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication at Renmin University of China.
