Ms. CHEN Meian is Senior Program Director/Senior Analyst at iGDP. Her research focuses on climate change policy analysis and database development, carbon markets, and non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions mitigation.

The research projects she has led or participated in include: China’s Agri-food System and Carbon Neutrality, Non-CO2 Emissions Reduction in Waste and Coal Mining, Consignment Auctioning for a Strong National Carbon Market, Enhancing Climate Policy with Political Economic Analysis of Shanxi’s Quality Growth, China’s NDC Progress and Prospects, Peer Review and Comparative Study for Northeast Asia’s Low-carbon Cities, Low-carbon and Green Index for Chinese cities (LOGIC) and Chongqing Carbon Neutral Pathway and Green Finance Roadmap.

Meian holds a Ph.D in Political Science from the University
of Oregon, with concentrations in International Relations and Environmental Policy.
