Li Xindi has over 5 years’ work and research experience in energy system decarbonization and long-term transition and power market analysis.

Ms. Li joined iGDP in October 2020, she participates in research projects on low-carbon transitions of domestic and international energy systems. Her research fields include energy systems analysis, regional low-carbon development planning and analysis, the power market and more.

Ms. Li leads or participates in the following projects: Regional long-term low-carbon transition using Energy Policy Simulator (EPS), Power industry low-carbon development and investment in countries along the “Belt and Road” Initiative, Just Transition in coal regions, National and provincial carbon emission accounting and analysis, China Carbon Neutrality Tracker (CCNT), etc.

She holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, United States, awarded in 2017.
