Zhu Tongxin has focused on green and low-carbon transition research for the last 3 years. Tongxin joined the iGDP team in August 2021 to support the research efforts.
Tongxin’s research areas include: provincial low-carbon action tracking, energy environment and climate change policy evaluation, and non-CO2 greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Tongxin is involved in projects such as local carbon neutrality planning studies with Energy Policy Simulator (EPS), provincial low carbon development progress, and Non-CO2 GHG Emissions in the waste management sector in China.
Previously, Tongxin worked as a research assistant at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s China Environment Forum and supported research and writing related to
ocean plastic issue and waste management in China and the US.
She holds a Masters in Public Policy, McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University, awarded in May 2020.
