Rising demand for indoor cooling and refrigeration is becoming an important driver of GHG emissions via the use of hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants and energy consumption. The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol is promoting sustainable refrigeration in tandem with related efforts to improve the energy efficiency of indoor cooling technologies. iGDP carries out strategic communication to tell the story of sustainable cooling in China. We conduct research, provide technical support to key stakeholders, and organize international exchanges to help push forward green and energy-efficient cooling.
